OMG, what a walk down memory lane - can you believe I remember every single one of these except for the "d" song? Especially the 1-12 Pinball machine! Really dating myself here... I was a little kid in the 70's when Sesame Street had this cast. Thanks for the nostalgia!
I was a Sesame Street kid too... I never saw this particular episode but WOW, I don't think they could have come up with a classier, more sensible way of commemorating the loss of one of their coworkers while dealing with a subject that could be very disturbing to young children. I think this would be a very good episode to show to children who have recently experienced a loss. It doesn't gloss it over, it doesn't try to give a sugar-coated reason for why these things happen, but it does show that it is OK to feel sad and talk about it. I have always had tremendous respect for the directors and actors of this show.
