Silence Part 2
I realize the last post made it sound as if my Babcia would be gone by morning. And she could. Or she could linger a couple of days. This is uncharted waters, blogging about someone dying. I don't know what to write. I guess I'll leave it at this: Babcia's 91 today. She's in my prayers and on my mind. Along with a lot of other stuff. Which I don't necessarily feel makes me selfish.
It makes me human.

Oh, I'm so sorry. I'm so glad you got to talk to her. And you're right...it does make a difference when you know that someone has had a full life and is surrounded by her loved ones. It's something to be grateful for. But I'm really sorry for your loss.

I hope in time all the happy memories you have of her replace the grief you must be feeling right now. Much love to you.

On a positive note (despite the harsh nature of what you are going through) it sounds like she is having a dignified and warm passing, one can not ask for a better way to go than to have said your goodbyes and be surrounded by loved ones. May you and your family have the strength to experience this with grace and heal after her passing.
