Truthiness
McMumsy and my Aunt S were discussing baby names on Saturday night. Aunt S was relieved her daughter had decided not to name her child Chase. McMumsy mentioned that when PolackPappy's father heard that she was naming her first child Maggie he growled "That's an Irish whore's name."
I looked back and forth from McMumsy to Aunt S.
"Well of course he was right. Maggie is an Irish whore's name."
Ah, me.

Har har on the Marge front, sir loins, and teri, I am in fact the first daughter, and therefore Maggie, but it's short for Margaret as opposed to Magadalene. But I was a Maggie from birth.

OMG! Holy day! Hello Maggie!! xoxo I had never considered that though it is one of my favorite names. Margaret is my confirmation name.
I've never thought so fondly of someone whose name I did not know. :)
